How it works
即便 supposes the hardest case and says the result holds anyway: "even if…, still…". It is the written variant of 即使, and the second clause must carry 也.
Examples
即便再忙，也要吃早饭。
Jíbiàn zài máng, yě yào chī zǎofàn.
However busy you are, you should still eat breakfast.
即便失败了，也是一次经验。
Jíbiàn shībài le, yě shì yí cì jīngyàn.
Even if it fails, it's still experience gained.
