How it works
虽说 is the conversational counterpart of 虽然, literally "though one says that…". It suits spoken concessions and often introduces something the listener already knows.
Examples
虽说年纪大了，可是身体还不错。
Suīshuō niánjì dà le, kěshì shēntǐ hái búcuò.
He may be getting on, but he's still in good shape.
虽说是小事，不过也得认真对待。
Suīshuō shì xiǎoshì, búguò yě děi rènzhēn duìdài.
It's a small matter, but it still deserves care.
