How it works
虽然…但是… means "although A, but B": it concedes one fact and then gives a contrasting one. Both halves are usually kept.
Examples
虽然很累，但是我很开心。
Suīrán hěn lèi, dànshì wǒ hěn kāixīn.
Although I'm tired, I'm happy.
这个东西虽然贵，但是很好。
Zhège dōngxi suīrán guì, dànshì hěn hǎo.
Although this thing is expensive, it's good.
