固然⋯⋯，也⋯⋯ — admittedly …, but also …

How it works
固然 grants that the first point is true before the second adds a further truth alongside it. In this 也 version the two are both accepted — the speaker is balancing, not overturning.
Examples
经验固然重要，学习能力也很关键。
Jīngyàn gùrán zhòngyào, xuéxí nénglì yě hěn guānjiàn.
Experience matters, of course, but so does the ability to learn.
这样做固然省事，也有风险。
Zhèyàng zuò gùrán shěngshì, yě yǒu fēngxiǎn.
Doing it this way is certainly easier, and it also carries risk.
