再度 — once again (formal)

How it works
再度 is the formal "for a second time, once again", common in news writing. Unlike 再, which usually looks forward to something not yet done, 再度 reports a repetition that has already happened.
Examples
物价再度上涨。
Wùjià zàidù shàngzhǎng.
Prices have risen once again.
他再度当选主席。
Tā zàidù dāngxuǎn zhǔxí.
He was elected chairman once again.
