要是…就 — if … then (colloquial)

How it works
要是 is the colloquial equivalent of 如果, introducing a condition, with the result often marked by 就: "if …, then …." It is common in speech and can pair with 否则/不然 to add "otherwise."
Examples
要是明天下雨，我们就不去了。
Yàoshi míngtiān xiàyǔ, wǒmen jiù bú qù le.
If it rains tomorrow, we won't go.
你要是不舒服，就早点儿回家休息。
Nǐ yàoshi bù shūfu, jiù zǎo diǎnr huíjiā xiūxi.
If you're not feeling well, go home and rest earlier.
