How it works
的话 at the end of a clause marks it as a supposition — "if …". It often teams up with 如果 or 要是 at the front and 就 in the result clause, and can stand alone in speech.
Examples
有问题的话，问老师。
Yǒu wèntí de huà, wèn lǎoshī.
If you have questions, ask the teacher.
如果明天下雨的话，我就不去了。
Rúguǒ míngtiān xià yǔ de huà, wǒ jiù bú qù le.
If it rains tomorrow, I won't go.
你想去的话，我们一起去。
Nǐ xiǎng qù de huà, wǒmen yìqǐ qù.
If you want to go, we'll go together.
