How it works
未 is the written negator matching 没(有): it denies that something has happened. It combines into 尚未 "not yet" and 从未 "never once". Note it negates completion, so 未 never takes 了.
Examples
问题至今未解决。
Wèntí zhìjīn wèi jiějué.
The problem remains unsolved to this day.
我从未见过他。
Wǒ cóngwèi jiànguo tā.
I have never met him.
