HSK 1 grammar · adverb
没有
没(有) — negation of 有 / past
Pattern
+ +
( ) can be left out · other words may come before, between and after
How it works
没有 (often shortened to 没) negates the verb 有 and says a past action did not happen. Unlike 不, it is about not having, or not having done, something.
Examples
我没有妹妹。
Wǒ méiyǒu mèimei.
I don't have a younger sister.
他昨天没来。
Tā zuótiān méi lái.
He didn't come yesterday.
