主谓宾
主谓宾 — subject–verb–object order
Pattern
+ +
( ) can be left out · other words may come before, between and after
How it works
The basic Chinese sentence puts the subject first, then the verb, then the object — the same S-V-O order as English. When the predicate is an adjective, use 很 instead of a verb.
Examples
我喝水。
Wǒ hē shuǐ.
I drink water.
他吃米饭。
Tā chī mǐfàn.
He eats rice.
我们学中文。
Wǒmen xué Zhōngwén.
We study Chinese.
