How it works
频频 marks an action repeated in quick succession, "time and again". It is written-style and usually reports observed behaviour, often with a hint that the frequency is notable.
Examples
他频频点头表示同意。
Tā pínpín diǎntóu biǎoshì tóngyì.
He nodded repeatedly to show agreement.
最近这一带频频发生事故。
Zuìjìn zhè yídài pínpín fāshēng shìgù.
