How it works
拿…来说 singles out an example to illustrate a point: "take … for example / speaking of …." The clause that follows comments on that example to support a general claim.
Examples
拿我自己来说，我每天都要花两个小时上班。
Ná wǒ zìjǐ láishuō, wǒ měitiān dōu yào huā liǎng ge xiǎoshí shàngbān.
Take me for example — I spend two hours commuting every day.
拿这次考试来说，很多人都没准备好。
Ná zhè cì kǎoshì láishuō, hěn duō rén dōu méi zhǔnbèi hǎo.
Take this exam for instance — many people weren't well prepared.
