How it works
况且 piles on an extra reason supporting the same conclusion: "besides, what's more". The added reason is independent — unlike 何况, it is not a stronger version of the first.
Examples
今天太累了，况且时间也不早了。
Jīntiān tài lèi le, kuàngqiě shíjiān yě bù zǎo le.
I'm too tired today; besides, it's getting late.
我不想去，况且我也没被邀请。
Wǒ bù xiǎng qù, kuàngqiě wǒ yě méi bèi yāoqǐng.
I don't want to go — and anyway I wasn't invited.
