HSK 4 grammar · conjunction

好

好 — so that / so as to (purpose)

Pattern

+
the purpose
( ) can be left out · other words may come before, between and after

How it works

好 placed before the second verb marks it as the purpose of the first — "so that", "so as to", roughly 以便. The first clause is the step taken, and 好 introduces what it makes possible.
