How it works
不妨 offers a suggestion with a light touch: "there's no harm in trying…". It softens advice, so it is common when proposing an option the listener has not considered.
Examples
你不妨试试这个办法。
Nǐ bùfáng shìshi zhège bànfǎ.
You might as well try this method.
有问题不妨直接问他。
Yǒu wèntí bùfáng zhíjiē wèn tā.
If you have questions, you may as well ask him directly.
