越发 — increasingly, all the more

How it works
越发 says a quality has grown even stronger than before: "all the more, increasingly". Unlike 越来越, it needs no repetition and often implies a cause has just been mentioned.
Examples
雨下大了，路越发难走。
Yǔ xià dà le, lù yuèfā nán zǒu.
The rain got heavier, and the road became all the harder to walk.
他越发用功了。
Tā yuèfā yònggōng le.
He has become even more hard-working.
