How it works
尤为 singles one item out of several as the most extreme: "especially, particularly". It is written-style and takes a two-syllable adjective. Compare 尤其, which is more general and can precede a whole clause.
Examples
安全问题尤为重要。
Ānquán wèntí yóuwéi zhòngyào.
Safety issues are especially important.
今年夏天尤为炎热。
Jīnnián xiàtiān yóuwéi yánrè.
This summer has been particularly hot.
