How it works
由此可见 draws an inference from evidence just presented: "this shows that…". It is a written connective of argument, and 此 must point back to something already stated.
Examples
由此可见，方法比努力更重要。
Yóucǐkějiàn, fāngfǎ bǐ nǔlì gèng zhòngyào.
From this we can see that method matters more than effort.
数据在下降。由此可见，措施起了作用。
Shùjù zài xiàjiàng. Yóucǐkějiàn, cuòshī qǐ le zuòyòng.
The figures are falling. This shows the measures are working.
