How it works
一点儿 means "a little" or "a bit". After an adjective it asks for a bit more of that quality; before a noun it means a small amount.
Examples
请说慢一点儿。
Qǐng shuō màn yìdiǎnr.
Please speak a bit slower.
我想喝一点儿水。
Wǒ xiǎng hē yìdiǎnr shuǐ.
I want to drink a little water.
