一…就 — as soon as

How it works
一…就 links two events so the second happens right after (or automatically because of) the first: "as soon as A, then B." Both clauses can share one subject, or each clause can have its own subject.
Examples
我一到家就给你打电话。
Wǒ yí dào jiā jiù gěi nǐ dǎ diànhuà.
As soon as I get home I'll call you.
他一喝咖啡就睡不着。
Tā yì hē kāfēi jiù shuì bù zháo.
As soon as he drinks coffee he can't sleep.
