要X有/没X,要Y有/没Y

要X有X,要Y有Y — has everything going for them

Pattern

+ + + + + +
+ + + + + +
( ) can be left out · other words may come before, between and after

How it works

The same noun is repeated on both sides of 有 (or 没) to say someone has — or utterly lacks — every quality you might name. The 有 version praises, the 没 version dismisses; the two halves must use the same verb.

Examples

他要才华有才华,要人品有人品。
Tā yào cáihuá yǒu cáihuá, yào rénpǐn yǒu rénpǐn.
He has talent and character — everything you could ask for.
这地方要山没山,要水没水。
Zhè dìfang yào shān méi shān, yào shuǐ méi shuǐ.
This place has neither hills nor water — nothing at all.
