唯独 — only …, alone (the exception)

How it works
唯独 picks out the one case that differs from all the others just mentioned: "only X, and X alone". It needs that contrast — a bare "only" without a background set is 只.
Examples
大家都来了，唯独他没来。
Dàjiā dōu lái le, wéidú tā méi lái.
Everyone came — only he didn't.
什么都不怕，唯独怕黑。
Shénme dōu bú pà, wéidú pà hēi.
He's afraid of nothing except the dark.
