How it works
既 … 又 … lists two qualities or facts that hold together — "both … and …". 既 marks the first and 又 (or 也) the second, with the two parts parallel. It is a little more formal than 又…又.
Examples
这个办法既简单又有效。
Zhège bànfǎ jì jiǎndān yòu yǒuxiào.
This method is both simple and effective.
他既会唱歌，又会跳舞。
Tā jì huì chànggē, yòu huì tiàowǔ.
He can both sing and dance.
这样做既省钱，也省时间。
Zhèyàng zuò jì shěng qián, yě shěng shíjiān.
Doing it this way saves both money and time.
