How it works
好像 expresses that something seems or appears to be the case, softening a statement into an impression or guess. It can also mean "resemble," often paired with 一样 ("just like"). It goes before the predicate it comments on.
Examples
他好像生病了。
Tā hǎoxiàng shēng bìng le.
He seems to have gotten sick.
这里好像我的家一样。
Zhèlǐ hǎoxiàng wǒ de jiā yíyàng.
This place feels just like my home.
