How it works
跟 … 一样 says two things are the same — "A is the same as B". Add an adjective after 一样 to say they are equal in that quality (一样大 "equally big"). Negate as 跟…不一样.
Examples
我的手机跟你的一样。
Wǒ de shǒujī gēn nǐ de yíyàng.
My phone is the same as yours.
他跟他哥哥一样高。
Tā gēn tā gēge yíyàng gāo.
He is as tall as his older brother.
这两个词的意思不一样。
Zhè liǎng gè cí de yìsi bù yíyàng.
These two words don't mean the same thing.
