How it works
到…为止 marks the cut-off point up to which something counts or continues: "up to / until … (and no further)." It sets the endpoint of a time span or a stopping point for an action.
Examples
到目前为止，我们还没有收到回复。
Dào mùqián wéizhǐ, wǒmen hái méiyǒu shōudào huífù.
Up to now, we still haven't received a reply.
今天的会就到这里为止。
Jīntiān de huì jiù dào zhèlǐ wéizhǐ.
