How it works
此后 marks everything from the point just mentioned onwards: "from then on". It is written-style and needs an earlier event for 此 to point back to — it cannot open a text.
Examples
他二十岁离开家乡，此后再也没回去过。
Tā èrshí suì líkāi jiāxiāng, cǐhòu zài yě méi huíqù guo.
He left his hometown at twenty and never went back after that.
公司搬到了上海，此后业务发展很快。
Gōngsī bān dào le Shànghǎi, cǐhòu yèwù fāzhǎn hěn kuài.
The company moved to Shanghai, and thereafter business grew fast.
