How it works
An inverted cause-effect pattern that states the result first and the reason second, giving emphasis to the explanation. It reverses the ordinary 因为…所以 order, so use it when the outcome is already known and you want to spotlight why.
Examples
他之所以成功，是因为从不放弃。
Tā zhīsuǒyǐ chénggōng, shì yīnwèi cóng bù fàngqì.
The reason he succeeded is that he never gave up.
我之所以迟到，是因为路上堵车了。
Wǒ zhīsuǒyǐ chídào, shì yīnwèi lùshang dǔchē le.
The reason I was late is that there was a traffic jam.
