How it works
一时…一时… describes a state that keeps switching within a short span — "one moment …, the next …". It stresses rapid, unstable change.
Examples
他一时想去，一时又不想去。
Tā yìshí xiǎng qù, yìshí yòu bù xiǎng qù.
One moment he wants to go, the next he doesn't.
她的心情一时好，一时坏。
Tā de xīnqíng yìshí hǎo, yìshí huài.
Her mood is good one minute and bad the next.
天气一时冷，一时热，很容易生病。
Tiānqì yìshí lěng, yìshí rè, hěn róngyì shēngbìng.
The weather turns cold then hot, so it's easy to fall ill.
