How it works
Presents two coexisting sides, reasons, or aspects of one situation. The two clauses are usually complementary rather than opposed; 另 is often added before the second 一方面, and 也 frequently appears in the second clause.
Examples
他学中文，一方面为了工作，一方面因为爱好。
Tā xué Zhōngwén, yìfāngmiàn wèile gōngzuò, yìfāngmiàn yīnwèi àihào.
He studies Chinese partly for work and partly out of interest.
这份工作一方面很累，另一方面也很有意思。
Zhè fèn gōngzuò yìfāngmiàn hěn lèi, lìng yìfāngmiàn yě hěn yǒuyìsi.
This job is tiring on one hand, but on the other it's quite interesting.
