How it works
还X呢 throws a label back sarcastically — "and you call yourself X!", "some X you are!". X is a role or quality the person claims but isn't living up to, and 呢 carries the mocking tone.
Examples
还老师呢，这么简单的字都写错。
Hái lǎoshī ne, zhème jiǎndān de zì dōu xiě cuò.
Call yourself a teacher? You got such a simple character wrong.
还大人呢，怎么跟孩子生气。
Hái dàrén ne, zěnme gēn háizi shēngqì.
Some grown-up you are, getting angry at a child.
还朋友呢，这点忙都不帮。
Hái péngyou ne, zhè diǎn máng dōu bù bāng.
And you call yourself a friend, won't even help with this.
