How it works
故意 before a verb says the action was done on purpose, not by accident. It goes after the subject and before the verb.
Examples
他故意不告诉我。
Tā gùyì bú gàosu wǒ.
He deliberately didn't tell me.
对不起，我不是故意的。
Duìbuqǐ, wǒ bú shì gùyì de.
Sorry, I didn't do it on purpose.
你是故意的吗？
Nǐ shì gùyì de ma?
Did you do that on purpose?
