How it works
An adverb stating that the outcome holds regardless of the circumstances, conveying the speaker's settled attitude: 'anyway, whatever happens.' It often signals resignation or firm determination and can reinforce a reason already given.
Examples
你去不去都行，反正我要去。
Nǐ qù bú qù dōu xíng, fǎnzhèng wǒ yào qù.
Whether you go or not is fine; anyway, I'm going.
别解释了，反正我不会相信。
Bié jiěshì le, fǎnzhèng wǒ bú huì xiāngxìn.
Don't bother explaining; I won't believe it anyway.
