How it works
并且 joins two clauses to add a further point — "and", "moreover". It links actions or qualities that go together, either on its own or after 不但/不仅.
Examples
这个房子很大，并且很便宜。
Zhège fángzi hěn dà, bìngqiě hěn piányi.
This house is big, and moreover cheap.
他答应了，并且很快就做完了。
Tā dāying le, bìngqiě hěn kuài jiù zuò wán le.
He agreed, and finished it quickly too.
我们要努力学习，并且互相帮助。
Wǒmen yào nǔlì xuéxí, bìngqiě hùxiāng bāngzhù.
We should study hard and help each other.
