How it works
吧 at the end softens a sentence into a suggestion, a gentle command, or a guess you expect the listener to agree with.
Examples
我们走吧。
Wǒmen zǒu ba.
Let's go.
你休息一下吧。
Nǐ xiūxi yíxià ba.
Why don't you rest a bit.
